How it works

Choose any price below the original face value. A 20–40% discount typically sells faster. Buyers pay upfront via Stripe — funds go straight into escrow.
Once your travel date has passed, we release payment to you within 48 hours. We deduct our 10% platform fee — no other hidden charges.
Simple, transparent fees
There are no upfront costs and no subscription. SaveMyFare charges a flat 10% of the sale price — deducted before your payout. That’s it. Listing, delisting, and relisting are always free.
The buyer pays a separate 10% fee on top of your asking price — so you see the full £54, not a split.
List each ticket individually as a separate listing.
You set the price. It must be below the original face value — a discount of 20 to 50 per cent tends to attract buyers. SaveMyFare charges a platform fee on sale, so factor that into your asking price.
Yes. Transferring an unused advance ticket you own to another person is permitted under the National Rail Conditions of Travel. The buyer travels on the same entitlement you originally purchased.
It varies by route and how far in advance you list. Popular intercity routes on busy dates sell quickly. Listing as early as possible gives buyers the most time to find your ticket.
Payment is released 48 hours after the travel date, once the journey has passed and no dispute has been raised. SaveMyFare deducts the platform fee before releasing funds.
The listing stays active until the travel date. You can delist at any time from your account. If the date passes without a sale, the listing closes automatically.
