Can you sell an unused East Midlands Railway ticket?
East Midlands Railway operates under the same National Rail Conditions of Travel as every other train operating company in Great Britain. Under Condition 5, a ticket can be transferred if it wasn’t made out in your name or tied to a Railcard, the journey hasn’t started, and you don’t resell it for more than you paid. Changing an East Midlands Railway Advance ticket vs. selling it
East Midlands Railway Advance fares are non refundable, but they can be changed to a different date or train for a £10 admin fee plus any fare difference. That’s worth checking if you simply need to move your travel date, but it doesn’t return any money if the journey isn’t happening at all. Selling does.
