South Western Railway Advance fares are non refundable, but they can be changed to a different date or train for the standard £10 admin fee plus any fare difference. That’s worth checking if you simply need to move your travel date, but it doesn’t return any money if the journey isn’t happening at all. Selling does.

Why does the Exeter to London journey take so much longer with South Western Railway than with GWR?
South Western Railway runs from Exeter to London Waterloo via the West of England Main Line through Salisbury and Yeovil, a scenic but slower single-track-in-places route taking around 3 hours 20 minutes at best. GWR's route to London Paddington runs via Bristol or Castle Cary and is faster, around 2 hours. They're genuinely different lines to different London termini, not just different tickets for the same journey.
Do I need a South Western Railway account to sell my ticket?
