UK train operator contact details
There’s no single national customer service line for UK trains: 24 separate train operating companies (TOCs), from LNER trains to Lumo, each run their own trains customer service and Delay Repay teams. Search or scroll below to find the right phone number, email or claim link for whoever you travelled with.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find trains customer service contact details?
Find your operator in the list above for their published trains customer service phone number, email, or contact page: LNER, GWR, Avanti, Southeastern, Thameslink, c2c, Chiltern, XC trains (CrossCountry) and every other UK train operating company (TOC) run their own customer service independently, rather than through National Rail centrally.
How do I claim Delay Repay West Midlands trains, or any other operator?
Use the Delay Repay contact or claim link above for whichever operator ran your delayed or cancelled service, not necessarily the one you bought your ticket from. West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway trains share the same Delay Repay contact number, since both are run by the West Midlands Trains group. See compensation amounts and thresholds by operator →
What if I lost my ticket?
Contact the operator you travelled with directly using the details above; policies on lost tickets vary by operator and fare type.
Can I sell a ticket instead of claiming a refund?
If your ticket is still unused and eligible for transfer, yes: listing it on SaveMyFare lets you recover some of its value directly from another traveller, rather than going through your operator's refund process. See how selling a ticket works →
Why do some operators share the same phone number?
A few operators are run by the same parent group and share back-office customer service. Thameslink and Great Northern trains (both part of Govia Thameslink Railway) publish the same number, as do West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway trains (both part of West Midlands Trains).
